The Fourth Trimester

Personalised support following pregnancy and birth

Following pregnancy and birth, the body undergoes rapid hormonal shifts, physical recovery, and increased nutritional demands. Many women experience exhaustion, low mood, anxiety, blood sugar instability, nutrient depletion or ongoing symptoms that are dismissed as “just part of new motherhood.”

Nutritionist

My approach is gentle, realistic, and tailored to the demands of early motherhood. Support may include guidance around postnatal nutrition, blood sugar balance, recovery after vaginal birth or caesarean section, breastfeeding support (where relevant), and emotional wellbeing.

Through personalised postnatal nutrition and lifestyle support, I help women rebalance, and rebuild during the fourth trimester. This includes supporting energy levels, hormonal regulation, thyroid and adrenal health, moods, gut function, and replenishment of key nutrients depleted during pregnancy and birth.

Whether you are navigating the early weeks after birth, struggling with postnatal depletion, or wanting to support your long-term health after pregnancy, fourth trimester nutritional therapy offers a foundation for sustained wellbeing — for you and your growing family.

This support may be helpful if you are experiencing (examples):

  • Fatigue after birth
  • Low mood or anxiety in the postnatal period
  • Difficulty recovering physically after pregnancy or birth
  • Nutrient depletion following pregnancy or breastfeeding
  • Blood sugar crashes, poor sleep, or hormonal imbalance postnatally
  • Simply you want to assess nutrient status for longer term health and during breastfeeding
