Couple's Foundation Programme
Supporting You as a Couple
Fertility maybe a shared journey and supporting both partners allows us to take a more complete and thoughtful view of your health. By addressing the factors that influence both egg and sperm quality, as well as the wider internal environment, we create the space for meaningful, aligned preparation — helping you move forward feeling supported and considered at every stage.
Why a minimum of three months is important?
Where possible, I recommend allowing at least three months of dedicated preparation before trying to conceive or beginning assisted fertility treatment.
Sperm development takes approximately 70–90 days, meaning the quality of sperm used for conception or IVF may reflect the nutritional and lifestyle environment of the preceding months. Egg development is similarly influenced during the three months leading up to ovulation, as the follicular environment responds to hormonal balance, metabolic health, and nutrient availability.

Working within this window allows us to make steady, meaningful improvements to areas such as nutrient status, blood sugar regulation, inflammation, oxidative stress, and the health of the uterine environment — all of which play an important role in reproductive outcomes.
I work with a limited number of clients at any one time to ensure each couple receives considered, attentive guidance throughout their fertility journey
Why Working With a Couple Matters?

This preparatory phase is about more than achieving pregnancy. It is an opportunity to strengthen the foundations of your health, supporting not only conception and treatment outcomes, but also the wellbeing of the pregnancy and the long-term health of your baby. Just as importantly, it offers space to realign and restore your own health for the years ahead.
Research consistently shows that both the egg and sperm health influence fertilisation, embryo development, implantation, and long-term child health.
While fertility support often focuses primarily on the woman, male factor fertility contributes to approximately half of fertility challenges, and sperm health plays a critical role in pregnancy outcomes.

Supporting both partners allows key areas of health to be addressed together — including:
- ovulation and menstrual cycle regularity
- sperm count, motility, morphology, and DNA integrity/fragmentation
- hormonal balance
- metabolic and blood sugar stability
- focusing on mitochondria health for both sperm and egg, so they have the energy to do their job!
- nutrient availability for sperm health, ovulation and early pregnancy plus overall health
- miscarriage history
- the microbiome for both the male and female whether that be the gut, semen or uterine microbiome. They all count.
- Other factors such as: sleep, medical history, lifestyle, stress levels
Recent stats show that men produce 59% less sperm than 50 years ago (2017 study by Hagai Levine, updated in 2022).
